Blake Shelton Wants Maroon 5 to Perform at His Wedding Because Adam Levine ‘Owes’ Him

Blake Shelton Wants Maroon 5 to Perform at His Wedding Because Adam Levine 'Owes' Him
WENN

The ‘Red River Blue’ crooner jokingly says the former judge of ‘The Voice’ owes him a ‘full-band performance’ at his upcoming nuptials with fiancee Gwen Stefani.

AceShowbiz
Blake Shelton has joked Adam Levine “owes” him a “full-band performance with Maroon 5” at his wedding.

The country star has been in a joke rivalry with his former fellow “The Voice” judge since the show began in 2011, and has said he’s keen to have Adam and his band perform at his upcoming wedding to Gwen Stefani because he “wants it to cost him.”

Blake made the joke as he commented on a recent request made by Miley Cyrus on social media when she asked Gwen if she could perform at her wedding, where she even promised to be on her “best behavior.”

Speaking about Miley, Blake told People magazine, “Miley is one of the most talented singers I have ever met. She drives me crazy because she’s a lot like Kelly (Clarkson) in the way that they can burst out with this voice. If I’m going to sing, I have to think about it and go warm up. It’s unfair.”

“Gwen was showing me that she even said, ‘I promise to be on my best behaviour.’ I’ve known Miley long enough (for her to have to say), ‘By the way, I’ll be nice when I get here.’ So that was nice of her. I don’t know what we’re going to do, but I still say Adam owes me a full-band performance with Maroon 5, mostly because I want it to cost him. I would rather have Miley as a human being.”

Blake and Gwen haven’t decided on a musical act for their big day yet, but Miley is hoping they’ll choose her.

The “Midnight Sky” hitmaker asked Gwen for the job on Twitter after the “Hollaback Girl” singer responded to a video Miley posted and called the musician “talented.”

Miley then wrote, “When my hero’s tweet me I get horny. (sic)”

Before she later added in a separate tweet, “ALSO @gwenstefani @blakeshelton I’ll be your wedding singer! I promise to be on my best behaviour. Or worst. whatever you want! It’s your special day! Cheers to loving you both almost as much as you love each other! (sic)”

AceShowbiz
The Jonas Brothers have denied they are splitting up again and teased new music is in the pipeline.

The clarification comes after Nick announced his new solo single, “Spaceman”, while Joe was recently cast in the upcoming war movie “Devotion“.

In February last year, the siblings revealed they had been “working hard” on a new album, but coronavirus then hit before they could announce the record.

Nick said at the time, “We have been back in the studio with Ryan Tedder, working hard on the new record, which is going to be announced in the next couple of weeks – title, tracklist, all that.”

The “Lovebug” group released their comeback album, “Happiness Begins“, in July 2019.

The 56-year-old hip-hop icon has previewed his new song ‘Detox’, into which he channels his anger and frustration amid divorce battle against his estranged wife Nicole Young.

AceShowbiz
Dr. Dre is set to release new music soon. A snippet of his new song “Detox”, into which he channeled his anger and frustration amid his divorce battle against estranged wife Nicole Young, has found its way out online. The song was previewed by DJ Silk on Instagram Live on Monday, February 22.

“Trying to kill me with them lies and that perjury,” Dre raps on the song that features his former pupil KXNG Crooked. Referring to his health scare that forced him to get hospitalized, Dre continues, “ICU/ I see you tryna f**k me while I’m in surgery/ You know we don’t tolerate that nonsense/ By any means get your hand out of my pocket.”

Dr. Dre has been in legal battle against Nicole, who filed for divorce from the rap mogul in June 2020 after over 20 years of marriage. Nicole, who accused him of cheating and domestic abuse for years, demanded $2 million a month in spousal support amid their bitter divorce battle. Dre initially refused to pay such amount. However, he eventually agreed after he was hospitalized with a brain aneurysm.

In newly-released documents, Nicole asked the court to allow her access to the Brentwood home to collect her personal belongings there, adding that she noticed some different women wore her clothes while staying at the house. She claimed that she was forced to leave with a “bare minimum” of her stuff when she was kicked out of the house by drunk Dre back in April 2020.

Among the stuff that she allegedly left in the house were designer and vintage handbags, couture clothing and 20 fur coats. Nicole, who shares two children, a son named Truice Young and a daughter named Truly Young, with Dre, also expressed concern for her fur-made outfits that might get damaged without proper treatment.

The ‘Back in Blood’ rapper gains momentum with his first commercial mixtape ‘Shiesty Season’ as he breaks into Billboard charts and puts his name on numerous artist-to-watch lists.

AceShowbiz
Pooh Shiesty is putting his name on the map with his debut mixtape “Shiesty Season“. The 21-year-old Memphis upstart released his first commercial record and linked with a number of fellow rising hip-hop stars, less than a year after he was taken under Gucci Mane‘s wing on 1017 Records.

“You getting Big Shiest on this mixtape – I’m touching on all categories. Expect me getting versatile. It’s lit,” he told Zane Lowe on Apple Music Radio show before dropping the mixtape. He said in another radio interview, “I switched it up a lot. I got songs from every genre. I’m bringing it to y’all.”

The hip-hop star didn’t disappoint as he dropped “Back in Blood”. Featuring Lil Durk, the single is a tribute to Durk’s late labelmate King Von. Shiesty broke into top 20 on Billboard Hot 100 as the track became one of the new favorites, peaking at No. 17 on the chart and climbing up to No. 8 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

He additionally scored two more Hot 100 entries with a follow-up single “Neighbors” which featured Big30 and Durkio’s song “Should’ve Ducked” from his latest studio album “The Voice“. The tracks rose to No. 51 and No. 53 respectively on the U.S. singles chart.

Shiesty’s star shone equally bright on Billboard Hot 200 as his mixtape bowed at No. 4 on the chart. Powered by collaborations with his mentor Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Tay Keith, Foogiano, Choppa Wop, Lil Hank, and Guwop, the record also reached No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

His impressive feats prompted Billboard to name him one of the 2021 Artists to Watch in January and crowned him the Hip-Hop and R&B Rookie of the Month in February.

On top of that, the rapper, real name Lontrell Denell Williams Jr., appeared on Spotify’s “Rap Caviar” as one of their 10 Artists to Watch in 2021. He’s also ranked third on Rolling Stone’s “Breakthrough 25”, occupied No. 30 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart, and spent more than 20 weeks atop Pandora’s Trendsetter Chart.

The official 2021 Rock Hall class will be announced in May.

Iron Maiden, Mary J. Blige, and Jay-Z are also among the artists in consideration for induction.

Announced earlier this month, the list has 16 nominees that also include the likes of Dionne Warwick, LL Cool J, the Go-Go’s, Carole King, Kate Bush, Devo, Chaka Khan, Todd Rundgren, the New York Dolls, and Rage Against the Machine.

“This remarkable ballot reflects the diversity and depth of the artists and music the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrates” said John Sykes, the chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation in a press release obtained People. “These Nominees have left an indelible impact on the sonic landscape of the world and influenced countless artists that have followed them.”

6ix9ine Trolls Meek Mill by Inserting Video of Their Confrontation in ‘ZAZA’ Music Video

The ‘GOOBA’ rapper uses his music video as an opportunity to troll the ‘All Eyes on You’ spitter by putting a clip of them being engaged in a verbal fight while dissing fellow rapper Lil Durk in his rap.

AceShowbiz
Leave it to Tekashi69 (6ix9ine) when it comes to trolling. On Friday, February 19, the “GOOBA” rapper released a music video for his track “ZAZA” and he used that as an opportunity to troll foe Meek Mill in the music video, on which he dissed fellow rapper Lil Durk.

Taking subliminal shots at Durk, who lost his friend King Von in shooting accident last year, Tekashi raps, “You ain’t killed s**t, you let your man’s die.” He continues, “They killed your cousin and your man and you still ain’t do s**t.”

As for the music video, it is such a colorful one. The notorious online troll is seen enjoying a party with bikini-clad women who flaunt their derriere while having fun inside the pool. He also throws money at strippers and dancers.

The fun, however, suprisingly gets interrupted briefly as the scene cuts to footage from his and Meek’s confrontation outside a club in Miami earlier this month. The clip sees the “TROLLS” rapper screaming at Meek.

He then raps, “Are you dumb? When you see me, you better run/ You got your gun? They caught that n***a lackin’ like a b***h/ They killed your cousin and your man and you still ain’t do s**t.”

Tekashi took to his Instagram account to share a clip from the the music video. In the caption, he taunted Meek, “ALL THESE RAPPERS GOT MY NAME IN THEY MOUTH BUT WHEN THEY ME IN REAL LIFE THEY GOT EVERY EXCUSE IN THE WORLD. I KNOW! ZAZA. THE KING IS F***ING BACKKKKKKKKKK !!!!!”

Meek previously shared that Tekashi was planning to ambush him as he waited for him outside the club. “The headline should be: he waited outside a restaurant and popped up with the cops recording with his phone out! He tried to line me up to go to jail!” Meek tweeted after the showdown.

He went on detailing, “We did not run into eachother I was getting in my car he just popped out ….we almost was smoking on that 69 pack for the love of a viral moment ….. he tryna get something locked up no cap lol Why did he pick meeeee wtf lol. Then he said a Pooh shiesty bar to me wtf. I’m a real witness to that lol.”

Meek Mill has spoken up after he came under fire for making a reference to Kobe Bryant‘s tragic death in his yet-to-be-released song. The Philly rapper made use of his Twitter account defend himself after he became a trending topic on the platform for the wrong reason.

Showing no remorse for the controversial lyric in his upcoming collaboration with Lil Baby, the “Tupac Back” spitter blamed critics’ “antics” for making “a narrative” against him. “somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….s**t like zombie land or something! Lol,” he wrote on Thursday, February 18.

The 33-year-old star went on comparing the backlash to “mind control” as he wrote in a separate tweet, “They paying to influence y’all now … its almost like mind control ‘wake up.’ ”

Baby also makes a reference to the former Los Angeles Lakers star. “I damn near wanna have a son so I can name him Kobe,” he spits in his part, but it’s Meek’s part which offended social media users to the point they’re dragging the “Ima Boss” emcee.

“Absolutely not. Wth,” one reacted to the snippet. Another expressed his/her anger on Twitter as writing, “This is f**king disgusting.” A third critic slammed for the “Tupac Back” emcee, “Meek a f**king clown smh.”

A fourth one agreed, adding, “Nah this ain’t it, at all.” Another reacted in disbelief, “Meek Mill said what about Kobe.. going out with your chopper?!” Someone else called him out for being “disrespectful” with the lyrics, tweeting, “F**k Meek Mill really disrespectful. Idgaf what anyone thinks.”

Also putting Meek on blast was Wack 100, who previously engaged in a back-and-forth with the rapper over his run-in with Tekashi a.k.a. 6ix9ine. “Some metaphors SHOULD not be used .. Pretenders struggle to pretend when it’s not authentic – 1 man don’t speak for #Philli -Rip #Kobe&GIGI,” the music producer weighed in on the lyric while posting a picture of the late NBA star and his daughter Gianna, who was also killed in the helicopter accident.

Vince Gill Addresses Morgan Wallen Controversy When Debuting New Song About Racism

Vince Gill Addresses Morgan Wallen Controversy When Debuting New Song About Racism
Instagram

When appearing on ‘CBS This Morning’, the ‘March On’ crooner expresses his disappointment at the ‘7 Summers’ singer since his N-word drama places country music as a target.

AceShowbiz
Vince Gill has debuted a new song about racism in country music after revealing he’s among the artists who have spoken sternly to Morgan Wallen after he was caught using the N-word in a TMZ video.

The singer’s record deal has been suspended and his music has been pulled from hundreds of radio stations across America following the drama, and Gill admits he knew as soon as the controversy broke that country music would become a target.

Dropping a snippet of his new track, “March On”, during an appearance on “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday, February 17, Gill said, “It was just disappointing. I knew that everybody was going to massacre country music. And white America, when they make the argument, ‘Well, I hear it (the N-word) in rap music all the time…,’ I go, ‘Have you not been paying attention to the last 300 to 400 years – how that word has been used by the white community?'”

“It’s derogatory, dismissive and hurtful. It doesn’t have a place.”

  See also…

In his new song, Gill sings, “We need to cause good trouble/Preach on brothers, sisters stay strong/hearts are changing, march on, march on.”

As well as Gill, Maren Morris and her husband Ryan Hurd have spoken to Wallen, who has apologised for his racist remark and urged fans to stop defending him.

Morris told CBS, “Morgan is a symptom of a much bigger disease of what our genre is right now,” while her husband, whose song “Heartless” was recorded by Wallen, added, “I don’t want it to seem like we’re piling on Morgan, but there’s no place for that word.”
